Getting lost in Cantabria is actually a perfect way to find yourself

Cantabria offers a unique experience for those looking to disconnect and dive into nature, adventure, and play.
Are you ready to get lost?
In Cantabria, where nature, art, and fun come together, you’ll find three unique labyrinths inviting you to enjoy something different. Designed for all ages, these spaces are perfect for a day of adventure with friends, your partner, or the whole family.

We invite you to discover the Laberinto de Villapresente, the magical Laberinto de Tilde in Entrambasaguas, and the surprising Laberinto de la Granja La Flor in Soto de la Marina.

Get ready to experience Cantabria from a whole new perspective!

1. Laberinto de Villapresente: The Great Green Challenge

Located in the peaceful village of Villapresente, in the municipality of Reocín, this labyrinth is a real gem for those who love challenge and adventure. Opened in 2017, it’s the largest permanent green labyrinth in Spain, covering over 5,600 m² and offering a route of more than a kilometre.

What will you find inside?

This impressive maze is made up of two-metre-tall cypresses, making it impossible to “cheat” by looking over the top. It has a single entrance and a single exit — and reaching it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour, depending on your sense of direction (and patience!).

On special days of the year, nighttime events are held, adding even more mystery to the experience.

Good to know:

  • Open during spring, summer and part of autumn (until the early-November holiday).

  • Recommended for ages 7 and up (younger children can enter with adult supervision).

  • Free parking and a picnic area nearby.

What else to do nearby?

Visit the charming town of Santillana del Mar, stroll through Villapresente’s historic streets, or discover nearby spots like Puente San Miguel and Quijas — all within a 15-minute drive.

2. Laberinto de Tilde: A Poetic Walk Among Bushes

In the picturesque municipality of Entrambasaguas lies Laberinto de Tilde, nestled in a private garden full of charm. This maze takes a more artistic, emotional approach. Created by the family who runs it, it’s a space for wandering, discovering, and dreaming — not just solving a puzzle.

A maze full of surprises

Here, the experience is about much more than finding the way out. You’ll come across small sculptures, inspiring quotes, secret corners, and benches to sit and take it all in. The hedges, carefully trimmed, form narrow but welcoming paths that invite you to walk slowly and mindfully.

Rather than competing in size, this maze shines with magic and meaning, designed to engage the senses and help you connect with nature. It’s accessible, pet-friendly, and fully integrated into its surroundings.

Perfect for…

  • Families with young children

  • Romantic strolls

  • Art and nature lovers

  • School groups and educational workshops

Services:

  • Affordable entry (with guided tours available)

  • Artisan souvenir shop

  • Easy access from the S-10 motorway

And then what?

A visit to Laberinto de Tilde can be the perfect starting point to explore other fascinating corners of southern Cantabria, in the Campoo region. Just a few kilometres away, the Castle of Argüeso awaits with its medieval towers and spectacular views over the valley.

If you’re in the mood for an interactive experience, the Monte Hijedo Interpretation Centre features a creative escape room, where you’ll learn the forest’s secrets in a fun and educational way. And for those who prefer the quiet of ancient history, there’s nothing quite like discovering the rock-hewn hermitages of Valderredible, carved into stone and surrounded by a truly unique landscape.

Three very different plans — but all perfect for rounding out an unforgettable day.

3. Laberinto de la Granja La Flor: Summer Fun in the Cornfields

On the central coast of Cantabria, in Soto de la Marina, lies Granja La Flor, an educational farm that goes beyond animals and crops. During the summer and early autumn, it offers a very special activity: a natural corn maze, with a new design every year. This season, it’s expected to be ready by early June.

A maze that changes every season

Unlike evergreen hedge mazes, this one is planted anew each spring — so each summer brings a completely different experience. With winding paths and hidden surprises, every visit is one-of-a-kind.

As you explore, you’ll find questions, games and challenges that turn the maze into an interactive learning adventure.

But there’s more to the farm:

  • Meet animals like goats, donkeys, rabbits and hens

  • Join farm or craft workshops

  • Enjoy picnic areas and a playground

  • Shop for local products

After the corn maze… what’s next?

After exploring the maize labyrinth and enjoying all the activities at Granja La Flor, you can keep the day going with several nearby plans that are perfect for rounding out your visit.

Just minutes away is the Cabárceno Nature Park, one of Cantabria’s most impressive attractions, where animals from five continents live in semi-freedom in a stunning natural setting.

If you’re looking for something more relaxing, the Puente Viesgo spa offers a haven of wellness with thermal circuits, soothing treatments, and exceptional local cuisine.

And for history lovers, a visit to the Monte Castillo caves — declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site — reveals ancient cave art in a truly one-of-a-kind environment.

Nature, relaxation and culture — all just a stone’s throw from the labyrinth.

These three Cantabrian labyrinths offer very different experiences, but share a common thread: active fun in nature.

They’re great as stand-alone outings, or as part of a weekend escape exploring the coast, the valleys or historic inland towns of Cantabria.

Handy Tips:

  • Check opening dates and get your tickets on each maze’s official website.

  • Wear comfy clothes, trainers, and don’t forget sunscreen in summer.

  • And of course — bring your phone or camera! These spots are full of Instagram-worthy corners. 📸
