Beaches

The Cantabrian coast spans just over 250 linear kilometers, between the mouth of the Deva River to the west and the Ontón estuary to the east. It presents a winding profile, alternating cliffs, islets, estuaries, coves, and beaches of all kinds.

Wonderful locations to wander and enjoy…

Here you can find around 70 beaches for tourist use, which together total about 50 kilometers of sandy areas. These range from beaches several kilometers long, such as Merón beach in San Vicente de la Barquera, Somo, or Laredo, to small and secluded coves.

Examples of urban beaches include those in Santander, all integrated into the city and impeccably clean, or those in the towns of Castro Urdiales, Laredo, Santoña, Noja or Comillas, which offer all services and amenities.

And in more rural settings, you will find other more rustic beaches, situated in beautiful natural landscapes, less frequented – except perhaps in the summer months – by swimmers. Some examples are the beaches of Langre and El Puntal in Ribamontán al Mar, Liencres beach located in the Liences Dunes Natural Park, Oyambre in Valdáliga, or Merón in San Vicente de la Barquera.

All the beaches on the coast of Cantabria stand out for the quality of their waters.

The best benches. The best views.

What we at Cantabria Infinita know is that we have various benches, not just the one, which may become your favourite once you visit these.
