Mataleñas Golf Course

Santander

The Mataleñas Municipal Golf Course was inaugurated in 1986, becoming the first municipal golf course in Spain. Since 1992, it has been managed by the Municipal Sports Institute of the Santander City Council.

This course is located within the urban area of the municipality, situated on the Cabo Menor peninsula, occupying an area of 15 hectares. It is easily accessible from any point in the municipality and is perfectly connected by municipal public transport.

The facility has a 9-hole golf course and a practice area for both long and short game.

Courses

Beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses for adults throughout the year. Children’s courses on weekends during the school year and intensive courses in the summer.

Services

It has a new driving range with 36 hitting bays, which have artificial lighting, as do holes 8 and 9. It also has a pitching-putt area, club and manual trolley rental. The services are completed with a cafeteria, restaurant, and a ‘bolera cántabra’ (Cantabrian bowling alley).
